As we continue preparing for the 30th season of the Neenah Summer Fun Run series, we need to pause and reflect. We are heartbroken to learn that Tom Jensen has passed away. Tom would defer all credit and thank all the volunteers who made the fun runs special for so many kids. However, we all know Tom was the catalyst to start the program and the strong will to not only hold it together but grow the program for three decades. Tom was a teacher, coach, mentor, friend, and all-around kind human. There will still be running, fun, cookies, and Dilly Bars this summer. We will cheer for all the young kids learning the joy of running and hand out ribbons to celebrate. But we will have to do all this without our head volunteer, biggest cheerleader, and most compassionate friend. Thank you, Tom!
